Inspired by his upbringing in the lush hills of Kurseong and fueled by a passion for mountaineering, Utsow Pradhan embarked on a journey to reconnect with nature and promote sustainable living. After discovering the philosophy of Permaculture during a backpacking trip in the Himalayas, he recognized the profound connection between regenerative living, climate action, and community development. Equipped with a Permaculture Design Certification, Utsow founded TIEEDI in 2016, aiming to lead climate action in Darjeeling through initiatives focused on zero waste, responsible tourism, and experiential environmental education. Recognized as a Local Environment Champion, his vision for TIEEDI is to create a harmonious relationship with Mother Nature while inspiring others to embrace conscious living.

Through TIEEDI Dwellings, we want to show guests the amazing possibilities of living with a low carbon footprint. We want guests to experience nature in all of its abundance and take that learning and experience back with them and embody it in their daily lives
