Our friendly staff make sure the place is comfortable and clean and will gladly provide the services to guest of washing up, doing laundry or providing delicious meals or mouthwatering Xhosa bread anytime of the day.
Our community loves food! And the concept is to share what they love with travelers while also putting plates on their own tables.
There is reliable WiFi and mobile networks at Lubanzi which makes it an incredible remote working place. Feeling completely off the grid but still being connected to the corporate world.
Wild Lubanzi was founded in 2010 and has since evolved into what it is today. It has changed locations in 2016 which also changed the nature of the backpackers at the previous location. Today, there are two owners with big plans and dreams and two Guest Experience Managers. Wild Lubanzi is a platform for creativity, reflecting and expression and is expanding into a sawmill, spa and wedding venue. Watch this space.
Our Guest Experiences Managers are excellent hosts and make guests feel welcome and informed. Every night, the Cozy Corner provides an atmospheric fireplace with drink in hand and good company!
We love books and hammocks and this is why there are many hammocks and a small library for travellers to enjoy. What makes it special? The Cozy Corner fireplace, swings at the bar, hammocks on the deck, view points at different places, work-in-progress outdoor theater and self-made pathways and gardens.
After living in cities all her life, Lizani moved to the Wild Coast in 2017 and created Wild Lubanzi, a place for dreamers, adventurers, travellers, or anyone who ever felt that "there must be more to life.

We have build our backpackers from the ground up to where it is today and we are still, and will always be building. Our creativity inspires our guests to think outside of the box and that anything is possible if you have determination, consistency and patience. Our lifestyle encourages our guests to find their goal outside of the pressures of society and follow their hearts.
When welcomed, travelers are taken on a tour to show how everything works, where they can save water and how important the environment is to us. We urge them to respect and integrate with our local community and encourage them to venture out and explore the village.
We utilise grey water: We plant an immense amount of trees and recycle as much as we can by using materials in our building projects
