From Bambuh you can walk or cycle directly into the surrounding foothills and Thai countryside with rice-fields, villages, forests and waterfalls. local restaurants and coffee shops. Or visit the near by famous Black House Museum.
I can also organize a Thai cooking class in my garden.

Philosophy
Bambuh was designed and developed from scratch by my husband an me. We turned an acre of overgrown pineapple field into a green oasis bustling with wildlife over the past 9 years.
We offer seven distinct, comfortable rooms in a unique blend of modern tropical and traditional northern Thai wooden architecture. The rooms are situated in four buildings that are spread out in our little forest.
We live at the premises so we are able to offer you a personal approach and you will get all assistance to make your stay a memorable one, making you feel at home while you are traveling.
History
I am a Chiang Rai native who decided to build my own green oasis after realizing that I was working so hard that I almost forgot to enjoy the beauty of northern Thailand and the local lifestyle I grew up in. I love to interact with people from various cultural background and nationalities and taking care of them. So after I got many positive feedback on my tropical villa, garden and location it was not difficult to choose to turn it into a place I share with my guests to relax and they can use as a base to explore this beautiful province.

Indulge in a tranquil rural setting just outside the city center with a large, forest-style, tropical garden along side a creek with mountain views and daily lovely sunsets. I enjoy hosting and giving you a place to escape to. Come and go when you like, interact or stay quiet, and sleep when you feel like it.
Visiting Chiang Rai is not about visiting the city center which offers you the scene of a modern Thai city. What it is all about is exploring the beautiful province with its stunning nature, mountain scenery, hill-tribes, caves, coffee & tea plantations, its culture and impressive history. Bambuh offers you tranquility, the chance to experience local Thai lifestyle around us and makes a perfect starting point to explore. Yet, we are only a mere 10 km away from the downtown area with its hustle and bustle.

Dedicated to minimizing their environmental footprint and promoting eco-friendly practices
Bambuh represents my personal view on how to treat both our planet and my guests.
Our focus is on managing Bambuh as environmentally friendly as possible. which is symbolized by using bamboo with its durable and renewable qualities.
Almost all waste is recycled, energy-friendly LED lighting is applied, plastic straws are banned, organic coffee and tea is served, and natural spa products in refillable dispensers are in the bathrooms. Food and products are sourced locally when we can. Our rooms offer a ceiling fan in addition to air-conditioning so you can choose to save energy if you are up to it.
A fine example of our recycling policy are our two wooden northern Thai stilted houses. We used reclaimed wood from knocked down old wooden houses to construct them.
The styling of our rooms with lovely bamboo furniture and accessories offers an elegant touch with boutique quality. The style also represents the way we love to treat our guests to make them feel at home.
And we felt that we had to give the name a little twist by the spelling of Bambuh as we like to do things a bit differently…
