Philosophy
Akchour is a beautiful natural area known for its stunning landscapes and hiking trails. It’s a place of healing and wellness with a Restaurant serving Living food along with local produce outcome of agro ecology and permaculture on bases of nutrition and dietetics.
History
I lived and traveled for 4 years in India, traveling everywhere on my motorbike. I spent most of this trip in North India, in the Himalayas. When I came back to my birth country, Morocco, my father found a place deep inside the mountains in North Morocco, a true paradise, and he told me, “Let’s make this place HOME.” We did, and today, we share this place with everyone who wants to leave something different, in pure connection with nature, a place to disconnect and connect back to your true self. It’s an experience for the soul & heart, as a promise between you and the mountains to redefine yourself. After traveling around the Himalayas on her motorbike for four years, Mey was moved by her experiences on wellness, happiness and eco-systems. She was deeply motivated to share what she saw, learnt and felt. When she came back to her home country of Morrocco, she, along with her dad, developed L'Ermitage, a place for guests to disconnect and connect back to their true selves.

We have many gardens where we regenerate the soil with permaculture; we compost everything from paper to organic waste from the kitchen. We have also a bio mass heating system. We also have a river that passes through the property, and we have natural swimming pools.
