Cheza is overnight and short stay accommodation, primarily used at the beginning and ending of Zambian safaris. If Leslie is home, then she ensures that she visits with each of her guests either over sundowners around the fire pit or by sharing dinner under the stars.
Each cottage includes:
Fully equipped kitchens for self-caterers and longer stays
Each cottage showcases local and regional artists
Our trees attract a diversity of birdlife
Listen to owls and bushbabies at night; sit out under the stars.
Leslie, Director of MTT Safaris, has lived overseas for 34 years in 13 countries, of which six have been on the African continent. Zambia has been Leslieβs home and business base since 2014. She has been in the safari business since 2005. She opened Cheza 01 in 2019 for her own safari clients to offer them an alternative and personal introduction to their Zambian travels. Cheza 02 was opened in 2023.

They appeal to anyone seeking a peaceful and unique place to stay other than a Lusaka hotel and have been awarded a four star rating by the Zambian Tourism Agency. Cheza 01 is a one bedroom and is perfect for couples and solo travellers. Cheza 02 is a two bedroom cottage and is ideal for two friends traveling together or for families. Personalized services include vehicles on site for 24 hour airport transfers and early road safari departures; Lusaka tours; complimentary breakfast and catered healthy homecooked meals on request; and invitations to join the owners at the firepit and discuss the diverse and wonderful African continent.
