We provide unique experiences for all guests.
We aim to create an inclusive atmosphere with guests as well as our staff. We make sure our staff is happy so that they can make our guests happy.
Independently-Owned
- I (Alexandra) started Casa Pancha with my sister, Franchesca and we are the owners of the property. I have always wanted to open a place to provide great experiences for travellers since I was a little girl. After going on the road for seven months to India and Nepal, and staying in hostels in Europe and Asia, I returned to Mexico and realized that the community spirit and thoughtful design that made hostels in other places feel so alive to me, were severely lacking in my home country of Mexico. Thus, the Casa Pancha project was born. Both of us worked together and opened the hostel in the heart of Mexico City in September 2019, with the goal to bring people together and provide unique experiences for all guests.
Locally-Managed
- We try to hire as locally as possible. We always aim to hire mindfully and it is important for us to click before we hire them.
Sustainably-Operated
- We support local businesses. Everything in our hostel is locally made; everything is made with Mexican hands.
- We try to be as sustainable as possible and encourage guests to do the same. For example, we use little to no plastic in our hostel.
- We’ve also partnered with a local organisation to compost all our food waste and make sure our ingredients are locally sourced too
- Environmental sustainability is a key factor in operations

Sleep
- We have 5 shared rooms and 1 private bedroom. The dormitories of different capacities.
- We provide a pod-style dormitory system to provide privacy and space to our guests. The bunk beds are spacious and comfortable and each bed has a safety box, reading light and power plug.
- Each dormitory has private bathrooms and individual lockers.
Eat & Drink
- A complimentary continental breakfast is included in every reservation.
- Besides that, we host family dinners every week or there are weekly potlucks, where the Panchers do a little home cooking from their respective home countries.
- Our ingredients are locally sourced, and even the bread is freshly baked by a local producer.

- Casa Pancha is located in Colonia Condesa, one of the hippest districts in Mexico City. It has an artsy, bohemian and friendly feel.
