Inspiring People

We aim to make your stay as hospitable as possible

Our lovely staff are always prepared to help you make the most of your time in our beautiful city of Istanbul

  • After working for multiple chain hotels, Barkin, the founder and owner, decided to open his own hostel where guests can feel a part of the neighbourhood and experience the authentic hospitality and vibrance of Karakoy.
  • Barkin and his team of local staff manage the property

Incredible Place

Nomad Hostel Karakoy celebrates the local street-art culture and hospitality.

  • There are shared dorm rooms – female-only dorms, and mixed dorm rooms with 4 people in each room.
  • Each floor of the building has 2 rooms, and the shared bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor.
  • We have a shared communal area close to the hostel and we rather encourage guests to enjoy the cafes, restaurants, and local eateries in the trendy area.
  • We partner with local restaurants in the area and offer breakfast at our neighbour Sub Karakoy Hotel.
  • We offer a 24-hour delivery service of necessities, food and drinks.
  • We can help organise tours and activities by locals businesses, including bicycle rental to explore the area.

Impactful Planet

We are implementing steps towards becoming more sustainable

Our hospitality goes above and beyond the duty of care.

  • We recycle as much as possible and try to avoid single-use plastic
  • Our building is an earthquake resistant structure.

We source local ingredients and promote local businesses.

Our Location

Located near the famous Galata Bridge, and below the historical Galata Tower.
