At Tagalong Backpackers, we curate a range of on-site events and activities to enhance the guest experience. From cultural evenings featuring local music and dance performances to interactive workshops led by community members, there’s always something engaging happening at our hostel. We also host regular movie nights, language exchange sessions, and cooking classes where guests can learn to prepare traditional Sikkimese dishes. Additionally, our Travel Cafe serves as a platform for special events such as open mic nights, art exhibitions, and storytelling sessions, providing opportunities for guests to connect with each other and the local culture in meaningful ways.
What sets Tagalong Backpackers apart are the personal touches and unique details woven into its fabric. The hostel is not just a place to stay but a community-driven hub. With a commitment to zero waste, the hostel embraces sustainability through composting and preventing organic waste from landfills. The Travel Cafe, a vibrant social space adorned with decor contributed by local artists, serves as a platform for cultural exchange, fostering connections over food, music, and events celebrating Sikkimese culture. Additionally, Tagalong’s fixed departure trips support local ventures, offering guests immersive experiences and opportunities to contribute to the local economy.
